The Scholarship Foundation is a Santa Barbara County-based nonprofit that was founded in 1962. That year, the foundation gave away nine $100 book awards. In 2015, the Scholarship Foundation gave away 2,948 awards totaling $8.7 million to Santa Barbara County students pursuing higher education.
The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara inspires, encourages, and supports Santa Barbara County students in their pursuit of college, graduate, and vocational school education through financial aid advising and the granting of scholarships.
We believe that students who have the drive and desire to achieve a higher education should be able to do so, without the barrier of cost.
Students can realize their full potential with our scholarships, provided to help them finance post-secondary education, bridging the gap between family resources and college costs. The Scholarship Foundation also offers free financial aid advising to teach students and parents how to secure and strategically leverage federal, state, and institutional aid.
Investing in the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara provides the opportunity to support tomorrow's leaders and create a community where our young people are encouraged, educated, and prepared to be productive and engaged adult citizens.
