World renowned chef, José Andrés, brings his passion for the “power of food” to World Central Kitchen - an international nonprofit that finds Smart Solutions to Hunger and Poverty.
WCK uses the power of food to strengthen economies and empower communities. At our core, we are a group of chefs that implement food programs to improve health, increase education rates, and create jobs around the world.
Health: Clean cookstoves and food safety and sanitation training for schools and communities.
Education: Daily meals for students to increase attendance rates, and create financially sustainable elements for schools to finance themselves.
Jobs: Culinary school in Haiti, and social enterprises to support orphanages.
WCK is a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.
