Olympus Media, LLC was founded in August 2004 by Jim McLaughlin our Chief Executive Officer. A thirty-eight year veteran of the industry, Jim recruited Ray Moyers (Operations), Mike Nelson (Sales), Kurt McLaughlin (Real Estate), and Carlene Parsons (Administration) to help build an Out-Of Home company through acquisition and development that uniquely focused on a consultative sales approach coupled with great creative, an unparalleled combination in the industry.
Olympus Media expanded outside of the Georgia market through acquiring additional inventory in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri and Wisconsin. Over 70 acquisitions were realized in a seven years. With that growth, came the entrance of digital billboards. In 2007, Olympus Media purchased the first LED Digital board produced by Formetco, a 40 year innovator of Outdoor. This pivotal acquisition was utilized to convert a traditional bulletin in a high visibility area of Atlanta, directly across from Turner Field, with one of the highest DEC (Daily Effective Circulation) in the US.
