Alexia Claire is an Illustrator and Surface Pattern designer from Leeds. With a degree in Printed Textiles, she can't go too long without drawing some little creature, insect or bird.
She has created the illustrations for all of her products as well as designing for other companies and brands.
Alexia was very excited to win the 2014 Filofax Cover Story competition which will see not one but two of her surface pattern designs on Filofaxes in shops across the world in Spring 2014.
Alexia welcomes commissions and is also available for freelance work as a surface pattern designer, illustrator and graphic artist for various end uses. All enquiries welcome.
Most of Alexia's designs begin life as pencil on paper and are there eventually manipulatied digitally, after being edited on a lightbox and scanned.
Alexia has been brought up as an avid bird watcher and has a love for all things nature. She feels privileged to live in a country full of beautiful wildlife and stunning scenery. There really is never a shortage of inspiration for her creations!
As a result Alexia has produced this particular product range. Each animal, plant and bird illustrated and featured in this British Wildlife range are all either endangered, rare or of a threatened status. She wanted to celevreate their unique beauty through bright colour palettes and adorable drawings.
