Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority

The Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority (SEMSWA) provides Stormwater Management Services to property owners in the City of Centennial, unincorporated Arapahoe County*, and a small portion of northern Douglas County**.

SEMSWA’s purpose is to:
• Protect people and property from flooding
• Comply with federal environmental regulations
• Provide a funding mechanism for stormwater services

SEMSWA was formed in 2006 by an Intergovernmental Agreement among the following entities:
• City of Centennial
• Arapahoe County
• Arapahoe Water and Waste Water Authority
• East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District
• Inverness Water and Sanitation District
