Asia Centre, Centre études Asie

Founded in 2005 by Professor François Godement, Asia Centre is a leading independent research institute which conducts studies and debates on the key trends in contemporary Asia. Experts at Asia Centre identify significant and current regional issues and analyze them from both local and global perspectives. Uniquely positioned to undertake academic research and perform advisory functions for corporate and public policies, Asia Centre initiates international and European discussions that reach a wide and influential audience. Its renowned expertise grants it access to numerous committees and research groups in Europe, North America and Asia, with which the Centre frequently leads conjoint operations, for a better confrontation of ideas and issues.

Created at the beginning of 2012, the Energy Club, in line with the Energy program’s ambitions of analyses and debates in the fields of energy and environment, animates a network that has grown continually since 2006. The Club meets regularly thanks to Asia Centre’s Energy Breakfasts, which are working sessions organized around an expert in energy issues or a professional of the sector. Besides, the Energy Club’s Linked In forum allows member to keep in touch and up to date on China’s energy issues (more specifically renewable energies, fossil fuels, gas, relations between China and the Middle-East concerning energy issues, China’s oil companies, nuclear) through online discussions.
