After more than four decades of ministry, the Institute for Creation Research remains a leader in scientific research within the context of biblical creation.
Founded by Dr. Henry Morris in 1970, the Institute for Creation Research is a creation apologetics ministry that exists to conduct scientific research within the realms of origins and earth history, and then to educate the public through graduate and professional training programs, through conferences and seminars, and through books, magazines, and media.
ICR was established for three main purposes:
Research. ICR engages in laboratory, field, theoretical, and library research on projects that seek to understand the science of origins and earth history. Our scientists have conducted multi-year research projects at key locations such as Grand Canyon, Mount St. Helens, Yosemite Valley, the Santa Cruz River Valley in Argentina, and elsewhere.
Education. ICR currently operates the School of Biblical Apologetics on its Dallas campus, offering the Master in Christian Education and the Creationist Worldview online study program.
Communication. ICR produces books, films, periodicals, and other media to communicate the evidence related to biblical origins and earth history. ICR’s central publication is Acts & Facts, a full-color monthly magazine with a readership of over 200,000, providing articles relevant to science, apologetics, education, and worldview issues. ICR also publishes the daily devotional Days of Praise with over 300,000 readers worldwide. Three syndicated radio programs are produced by ICR and can be heard around the world.
