National broadcasting and communication satellite system will be based on its own satellite Belintersat-1. Communication and broadcasting satellite will be placed on 51.5E orbital slot in 4Q2015 and will provide wide range of telecommunication services for Europe, Africa and Eastern Asia in C and Ku-bands. With 15 years satellite lifetime we will be able to provide servicies for long-term perspective.
Under the project, our Subsidiary organization executes the following functions:
- independent provider of the satellite telecommunication services (communication channels, services, broadcast and broadband);
- satellite operator (Belintersat-1 communications satellite to be launched and satellite capacity);
- integrator of satellite telecommunications and information systems (design and deployment of satellite communications and television, space monitoring);
- teleport (located in Minsk region, Belarus).
The system is based on the own communication satellite and shall provide a wide range of telecommunication and information services (satellite radio broadcast, satellite TV broadcast, broadband Internet access).
Beams: African ( up to 16* transponders for lease and sale), Global (up to 16*), Eastern (Asia) (up to 12*), Central-African (12), European (4+2).
The satellite shall be placed in 51.5 orbital position, e.l., have 38 transponders (transceivers), with 54 and 36 MHz bandwidth in C and Ku frequency bands so it will provide a full range of satellite services in Europe, Africa, Asia and other additional area.
The launch is set at the second half of year 2015 from the Xichang spacesite (China).
