Food Fortification Initiative (FFI)

As public, private, and civic partnership, FFI helps country leaders plan, implement, and monitor fortification programs. Our focus is industrially milled wheat flour, maize flour, and rice.
The vitamins and minerals used in fortification prevent anemia caused by nutritional deficiencies and neural tube birth defects caused by insufficient folic acid.
With fortification, adults are more productive, children are healthier, and they develop their full mental potential. In other words, people are smarter, stronger, and healthier.
