The Rectifier Technologies Group makes sophisticated electronic products known as rectifiers. Rectifiers convert AC power into smooth, well controlled DC power. Rectifier Technologies designs, manufactures and supplies rectifier systems including all controllers, cabinets, and ancillaries.
Rectifier Technologies Pacific (RTP) was incorporated in November 1992. The major shareholder was Valentino Vescovi (who later became a director of the parent company Rectifier Technologies Ltd). RTP was formed to develop state of the art rectifiers based on the switch mode technology and was successful in selling licences internationally during the 1990s.
In the late 1990’s RTP was acquired by Ice Corporation (later renamed to Rectifier Technologies Ltd). As a result of changing market conditions RTP adapted by moving into manufacturing with the acquisition of Topaz Power in 2004, a licensee in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Topaz Power, now called Rectifier Technologies Malaysia Sdn. Bhd (RTM). RTM is wholly owned by RTP and manufactures rectifiers and complete systems for the global market.
Rectifier Technologies went on to acquire United Kingdom based Duvine Developments Limited in 2006, now called Rectifier Technologies United Kingdom (RTUK), who was also a licensee of certain RTP products. This strategic acquisition allowed the Rectifier Technologies brand to be recognized throughout countries in Europe.
