Sydney Community College is a not-for-profit adult education and training provider of nearly three decades standing. We have three primary areas of operation. They are:
1) Our Registered Training Organisation, the Sydney Centre for Workplace Training for all your skills based business and vocational training needs;
2) Our short courses in arts, business, language, lifestyle and sport courses;
3) Our social inclusion programme providing access to Government funded education and training for those who might otherwise be disadvantaged from participating. These initiatives currently include programmes for juvenile girls in custodial care, young people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, recently-settled migrants and refugees and those in need of language, literacy and numeracy skill building.
In a first for a community college in Australia, SCC also now runs a sports centre in Camperdown to encourage activity-based learning. Each year, over 14,000 students choose to participate in one or more of the 400 different courses we offer. Our main campus is in Rozelle and we also operate in Sydney’s city at O’Connell Street in the CBD and at Surry Hills.
The College is a student focussed organisation and we encourage your feedback about our sites, our courses, our venues and our service, email us with any suggestions you have to help us improve our service.
